About Memorial Foundation Video

Children’s Village. Just ten years old, but never has an organization or the people within it, been so clearly on exactly the path life intended. Years of planning by local organizations, collective experience, physicians, specialists, educators, parents and advocates. Studies conducted, interviews administered and projections transcribed.

The one thing no one truly counted on was the synchronicity of mission, passion and fulfillment. Children’s Village was created at the exact moment in time destined to be precisely what our region would need today. Read more...

Serving children with special health care or developmental needs and their families, this collaborative, comprehensive, and family-centered organization aims to meet the needs of individualized care in juvenile-related health care concerns. Programs funded by The Memorial Foundation address social, emotional, behavioral and communication needs, medical specialty clinics, and other core costs of the Yakima and Sunnyside Children's Village sites.

Children's Village was created by local community agencies to serve children with special health care needs. Since its opening in 1997 it has provided integrated educational, medical, dental, mental health, and family support services for children with special health care or developmental needs, streamlining services for many families in the region.
